ABOUT HELPS MINISTRY
The purpose of Helps Ministry is to carry out the God-given vision of the ministry. The Helps Ministry at Rhema International Ministries, Inc. consists of various groups of volunteers who assist Pastor Sanders in meeting the operational demands of the ministry and the spiritual needs of the membership. Helps Ministry is comprised of born-again, spirit-filled individuals who are devoted to the Kingdom of God, the Body of Christ and the ministry of Rhema.
Pastor Sanders believes that each member needs a minimum of 90 days to become acclimated to Rhema and to obtain the spirit of this ministry. During this period, new members are encouraged to begin praying about what area of Helps Ministry is best suited for them.
Once this application is completed and submitted it is reviewed based upon the requirements for participation in Helps Ministry, specifically, the tithing record.
In order to become a member of Helps Ministry you must:
- Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior
- Be filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues, or actively seeking the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
- Be a consistent tither
- Live holy in accordance with the principles outlined in the Word of God
- Purchase and read Bishop Daniel Robertson’s book, “Plug In”
- Presently attending or have graduated from the Manifest Bible College
Why I must tithe to serve on the Helps Ministry
Tithing is what is used by God to fund the work of the ministry. As a requirement of Helps Ministry, this is simply an extension of the command in the Word of God to give a tenth of your first-fruit earnings to God. As stated in Leviticus 27:30, the tithe is holy, and this belongs to God. Helps Ministry personnel must set the tone for the rest of the ministry in their obedience to God’s commands. And as a result of this obedience, we believe Gods word to be true when he says in Malachi 3:10 that he will open up the windows of heaven and pour out blessings that there will not be room enough to receive!
Why I must be filled with the Holy Spirit to serve on the Helps Ministry
Being filled with the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues is a requirement to be part of Helps Ministry at Rhema because we know from the Word of God that being filled is a prerequisite to receiving power. In this life we are constantly faced with challenges, particularly as Christians who desire to live according to the Word of God. The good news is that our God is so loving and gracious toward us that He would never give us a commandment or assignment without giving us the power to complete that assignment.
Pastor Sanders and CoPastor Sanders consider all Helps Ministry personnel as the core leadership of the church. Therefore, your ability to live holy will set the tone for the ministry. When the house is holy, the atmosphere is set for the One who is holy to minister to the people of God.
