Missions Applications Quick Reference

When Can I Apply for Missions? Missions Applications are distributed and accepted each year during the months of November and December. The application must be submitted within the requested timeframe and no later than December 31.

How can I get a copy of the application? The mission’s application will be available in the office during business hours Monday – Thursday 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Friday 9:00 am to 12 pm.

What documents will I need to complete my application? If you desire to go on the mission’s field, you can plan early by securing the following items:

• Passport Passports can be obtained from the Albany Main Post Office located at 1501 S. Slappey Blvd, Albany, Georgia 31701. You must call 229-889-2651 to schedule an appointment for your Passport. **Cost of first-time passports is $135.00 which includes an acceptance fee of $25. A renewal passport is $110.00.** You must purchase 4 Passport Pictures (pictures can be Taken at Sams, Rite-Aid or CVS and comes in a set of 2). You must take with you a certified birth certificate and 2 of your passport pictures or you will be unable to obtain your passport. You are to keep the other two pictures for future instructions. It takes approximately 4-6 weeks from the time of application to receive your passport, therefore it is necessary that you apply for your passport immediately.

Review your passport contents

• Passport Expiration – If your passport is scheduled to expire anytime during the year in which you want to travel, you must be proactive in getting it renewed. The process to renew can be time-consuming, so don’t wait until the year of expiration is upon you.

• Passport pages – More than 3 unstamped pages should be available

• Name Changes – If your name has changed or will change from what is currently on your passport, please note on the application the new name as it will appear on your passport and the date on which the new passport was ordered.

Where will I submit my completed application? Applications can be submitted to Rhema International Ministries Administrative Office during business hours
9 am – 4 pm Monday through Thursday and 9 am – 12 noon Friday no later than December 31 of the current year.

When will I be notified concerning my application? If selected to go on the mission’s field, you will be notified within the months of February/March of the missionary year.
